Audrey-ism

I need to keep up with more of the Audrey-isms going on these days. She is full of questions, particularly about numbers, time keeping, reading and the meaning of words. Last night, she asked me for the "what does canceled mean?" and "what does despite mean?" I could get canceled but fell a little short of defining despite.

She loves to look at clocks and say, "Mommy, one hand is on the ___ and one hand is on the ___. What time is it?" Warms my second grade teacher heart.

Tonight, she said she wanted an "apple-tizer." David asked her what that meant. She said, "You know, Daddy. It's when you cut up an apple, put it in the oven and it comes out. That's an apple-tizer." Clearly, she is correct. :)

She keeps us on our toes! (And, of course, she asks me what that expression means too...)
