Tutus and Hydrangeas - 9 Months

Baby girl turned 9 months old this week! Hard to believe that we are so close to her first birthday. Grandmother and Granddaddy (David's parents) came down to help out while I finished up with school and David was at a conference. They came bearing a pink tutu! Such cuteness. The night before they came, I was out in the backyard with Audrey trying to get her to touch the hydrangea bushes - she was terrified of them! She shook whenever I tried to get her to touch a flower. She got over her fear of them the next day and ended up loving sitting amongst the blooms! She's a southern girl, after all...

I will post her nine month stats after our doctor visit on Tuesday. Yuck - more shots!!

Mother's Day 2

My sweeties were awfully sweet this first Mother's Day. It started a bit rocky with the Boo waking at 5 AM (she didn't get the memo that you're supposed to sleep in a bit) and then Lucy throwing up in her crate as soon as I opened her door, but things turned around. She made it through church and Sunday School in the nursery without screaming and even laid down in a crib to sleep! When we came home, there were flowers, earrings and a precious homemade card. David said he asked Audrey what she wanted to give me and she opened her arms, so he thought that meant "a hug." So, he attempted to trace her hands with a crayon. He said that was quite an experience (I think one of her hands has six fingers!) But, it was incredibly precious.

We spent the afternoon playing with blocks, napping and taking a stroll with Lucy - little normal things that make each day perfect!

Mother's Day

I am by no means an expert on posting these videos, as you can tell, but several folks wanted to see more, so here you go. Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to rotate them (not sure that that's even possible), so you will either need to turn your laptop or your head sideways. One of her favorite toys is her shape sorter so we were listening to some nursery rhymes and sorting some shapes last night. Enjoy!

Just because every Sunday afternoon should be spent on the floor with a baby in a pink cupcake dress...

Fun Times

This time last year, Ashley, Kelly and I were all expecting babes in the summer. (We were all 2nd grade teachers.) Ashley was due in June, I was due in August and Kelly in September. Today, we gathered at my house for a lunch with the babes. It was so fun to see them to interact. Ellie (Ashley's little one) is almost 1! She's walking around and speaking real words. ADORABLE! Keegan (Kelly's little man) is 8 months and hilarious. He's all boy, rolling around on the floor and playing with all of the toys. So Cute!!

Here's a pic from last May 2009.

It was so hard to get all 3 of them in a picture together. Ellie was ready to take off, Keegan was ready to roll off, and Audrey just wanted to cry because I wasn't sitting right next to her. (I think she's a little shy.)

Here's another one when Kelly got their attention.

Audrey loved sitting with Ashley and she wasn't too happy when Ellie came to reclaim her mommy.

Love the bow with an "E"!

Love that smile!

around the house

Here a few shots from the last several days. And, the Boo is crying so I got to go.

Video Post???

Ok, we are trying our first video post. Audrey's latest trick is waving - she started with our neighbor, Harry, two weeks ago and moved onto waving at strangers this weekend at Trader Joe's. Making friends and influencing people!

Here's our first video. She mostly waves at the beginning and then moves onto her blocks. Her sounds of the week is "da, da" but she mostly just says, "ahhhh" the entire time on this one. Sorry for the blurriness at the end. Not sure what's causing that.
