We started Christmas morning out with a reading of the Christmas story (and without Mommy combing her hair - please forgive.) Though we are doing the Santa thing, we are also trying to make sure the girls realize that the celebration is really about Jesus rather than ourselves.

One of Audrey's favorite gifts was this Melissa and Doug cupcake decorating set from Grandmother and Granddaddy. Since she loves baking real cupcakes, this is the second best thing (and a little less sugary.) She absolutely loves it and makes one for all four of us in the family.

Kathryn received this sweet First Christmas ornament from Mimi and Pops.

Audrey had to pause from gifts to take a moment for chocolate.

We pulled out the
exersaucer for Kathryn's big "
regift" from Audrey. She does okay in it, but I think she will grow to like it more in the next few months as she gets a little more body control.

Audrey received these barrettes and insisted on putting all of them in her hair at once!

Audrey insisted all of us select an instrument from her "Band in a Box." I'm not sure what possessed me to make it a musical Christmas. She received tambourines, cymbals, a keyboard, bells, and drum sticks. Not sure that mistake will happen again!! :)

Pops got the triangle until Audrey traded him for a bell because she wanted it!

Mimi enjoyed the clapper.
