This weekend, David decided to finish painting all of our ceilings downstairs which was no easy task! Once we got the furniture moved away from the walls in the dining room, we discovered the walls were pretty scratched up - this was the only room we didn't paint when we first moved in - so he decided to paint the dining room as well. I decided to scrub the kitchen floors down - for some reason, the grout between the tiles was killing me, so that was good to get checked off of the list!
Sunday was our sixth anniversary, so Saturday night we used a gift card we received about a year ago to a restaurant called Watershed in Decatur. We have heard a lot about it and I saw the chef recently on Martha Stewart so we were excited to go! They specialize in southern food, gourmet style. It cracked us up to see pimento cheese and celery as an appetizer and salmon croquettes as an entree, since we grew up with things like that, but they really do take it to another level there. David has some mac and cheese like no other and my grits with the salmon were pretty good too!
Unfortunately, on Sunday, we also got the news that my great Aunt Lois fell and broke her hip overnight, so she's in our prayers. She had surgery this morning, so she'll be recovering over the next few weeks. If you could, remember her in your prayers along with my mom who asked me to not have the baby this week!
Last night, we drove to Douglasville to meet David's parents and pick up some yummy veggies from their garden. Going to eat a tomato sandwich right now!
Baby update: We went to the hospital tour on Thursday and the doctor on Friday for our first of the weekly visits. She's measuring well (good to know, since I'm as big as a house!) and she is turned downward getting into position! The doctor told us to "live it up" this weekend! Only 3 weeks to go (or less!)
outside of the restaurant - it's a converted garage/gas station
