Pink Palace

We took our first trip to the Pink Palace this past weekend. Every summer, they give away free passes, so we figured we had nothing to lose. This is actually the home that the founder of Piggly Wiggly built, but he died before he actually lived in it. It's a pretty eclectic mix with dinosaurs and geology on the bottom floor and then trips through time of historic homes, the first Piggly Wiggly, a circus train exhibit and some Memphis history on the second floor. There is also an IMAX theater and planetarium.

This, my friends, is the look of terror. I was forewarned that there were dinosaurs there, but the girls were fine with the ones made of fossils. They were not fine, however, with the one that was animatronic and making loud noises every time someone pushed his button. We were in the rock section and thought we were safe, but just as we posed, someone pressed the button! Thought the girls would never let go...

Audrey liked seeing the old toys and she loved shopping through the Pig!  All in all, it was a good trip, but I have a feeling I will be hearing about those dinosaurs for a while.
