July 4!

We took July 4th seriously around here this year! The girls wanted to have a party for America, so we invited our friends Amy and Jonathan to have some mid-week festivities on Wednesday afternoon. we started with a cake, complete with American flags. Audrey loves spotting all the flags she can while we are in the car now.

Kathryn took her job very seriously. Check out that hair!! It's coming, it's coming.
 We needed streamers to start.

 flags in the den
 more flags in the den
The next day, we were ready for the G'town festivities. We really love this town.
These two are really loving on each other these days. It's fun to see them start to play and giggle with one another.

There were so many activities for us to do at the G'town park. Parks and Rec set up this huge mural and the girls loved picking out their own markers!

Check out K's bow. It's bigger that her head, and it was originally for A, but Kathryn loves a bow! And a hat, and a necklace...the girl likes accessories.

Lots of inflatables, snow cones, live music, fair food, picnic with friends - so much fun!

We didn't know if the girls could hang until the fireworks at 9, so we decided to head back home and put them in the bath and pjs. We then headed to the hospital parking garage, where there were few people, a great view, and a good enough distance from the fireworks so they weren't incredible loud. The girls loved it!

We had a great first fourth in Memphis!
