Christmas, Part One

Enjoying a musical gift from Uncle Gary, Aunt Cindy and Aunt Lois

They love pressing the button to make the snowmen, Christmas tree and penguins sing and dance.

Audrey is into building these days.

Had to add our nativity angel to the top

"This is how you do it, Kathryn."

"Let me do it!"

We went to a local children's service on Christmas Eve. Each child could select to be a wise man, shepherd, or angel and go up front to be in the nativity. Audrey was a bit too shy, but Daddy HAD to make her a shepherd's "hat" when we got home.

Holding onto Audrey so she won't run out to see what Santa brought before Mimi and Pops are awake

'the loot" - Santa brought Kathryn a princess doll, a Noah's Ark shape sorter, a Dumbo elephant, and some shoes; Audrey received a "pogo ball", play food, a princess doll, shoes, and a giraffe puppet.

so exciting!

She loved the ball. Thank goodness - I wasn't ready for the pogo stick that she was asking for!

getting some love from Pops

This request for a giraffe sent Santa shopping two days before Christmas. Santa tries so hard to be prepared, but sometimes he gets some curve balls.

Audrey loved this Dora book for practicing her letter writing.

Kathryn and Audrey both enjoy this tea set.

An umbrella from Mimi and Pops was so exciting.

David had his degrees framed.

We were needing some activity after lunch, so Daddy crafted a Christmas version of corn hole with a cardboard box and the bean bags the girls received. It was a hit!

High fives!

Nice form

Another fun surprise was a dusting of snow on the day after Christmas. Daddy and Audrey set to work on a snowman.
