Weekend Events

We had a great weekend traveling to AL to visit David's family. Above, Audrey is showing off her latest favorites - my Easter bonnet (from 30 years ago - vintage!), Elmo, and her teddy bear. She has to have some entertainment during our daily stroller walks.

The hit of the weekend - ELMO CUPCAKES!! Oh my goodness, the girl loved them. Grandmother found Elmo liners, and they were complete with orange sprinkles. You should have seen Audrey's reaction - she called it, "happy Elmo cake." The saddest part was when I tried to pull away the liner to help her eat the cake. Big mistake - evidently, she thought it was painful to Elmo.

This was probably a good practice run pre-birthday. I was planning to have an Elmo b'day with an Elmo cake, but as Aunt Jen brought up, it might not be a good idea to have to cut into him. We might have to get some type of plastic or candy Elmo that can be taken off the cake pre-cutting. Oh my - the girl is sensitive...
