Petting Zoo

Today, we had a play date at a game ranch - a cross between a petting zoo and a regular zoo. Most of the animals are rescues. They are extremely tame and very excited about being fed by humans. We met our friend, Angie, and her daughter, Catie. (Catie is the smiley one above and Audrey is contemplating life at the petting zoo.) The girls seemed to have fun seeing all of the animals and Audrey eventually got brave enough to feed a donkey some crackers. It was pretty entertaining.
This was our first greeter. I looked away for a second and when I looked back, he was staring Audrey right in the face. She didn't cry, but she wasn't entirely certain of the situation.
Angie feeding the baby goats.
Sorry for the blur - one of Audrey's favorites were the chickens! Or, the "bok boks" as she calls them.
She also loved the cow. We fed it a carrot.
She was trying to kiss this baby goat - I did not encourage that activity.
These were some bossy (and stinky) sheep. The black one inhaled one of our carrots.
Here's Audrey's hand feeding the donkey a cracker.

We also saw bears, mountain lions, peacocks, rabbits, pot bellied pigs and more. Fun times!
