Well, I can hardly believe this school year is over! There were points where I thought it might stay March for forever, but May finally arrived. At our school, most students ride buses, so our tradition is to walk out with the final load of students and wave good-bye on the sidewalk. Given that we have about 1,300 students (13 second grade classes alone), this is a pretty big crowd. Sadly, lots of our kids aren't that excited about going home, so there are lots of tears, but I must admit I might have heard the Hallelujah Chorus going through my mind as I waved. This has been a rough year of lots of low academics combined with attentional difficulties combined with interesting parents, so it's so long until 3rd grade!!
