St. Patrick's Party 2015

We've enjoyed being a part of the local moms' group in town. One of our favorite events are the family parties. It's a chance for us all to hang out together and have some fun with local friends. This month, we celebrated St. Patrick's Day at the local Boys and Girls Club.

Touring the Town Jan 2015

Hanging out on the carousel with Mimi and Pops at the Children's Museum. Kathryn was our brave child who went on an "up and down" animal. Audrey likes to stick to the still bench instead. Got to work on her!

Around the House in Jan

Happy Andrew ready to cheer on his team. He started walking in early January and hasn't slowed down since. Everyone comments on his mobility, and he's probably going to be running soon.
This was a dead ladybug shrine I discovered in the girls' room. It led to a long discussion about death and animals after I flushed it down the toilet. You just never know with these kids!!
Andrew loves to "help" in the kitchen. I've discovered all sorts of locks for cabinetry with him.
Trying to occupy him with cookie cutters and containers. It was short lived entertainment.
Love a sweet boy in a sweater vest!
Riding the horse Sandy at Meijer for a penny. Makes for a happier grocery run.
Audrey loves to express herself through her outfit choices and hairstyles. Sometimes, you just can't fight it!

January 2015 Indy Snow

Here are several catch up posts from life in Indy in 2015. We made it through our first winter! It was quite snowy, though the local say not nearly as bad as last year. David and I laughed after the first snow of five inches on a Sunday evening had us a bit panicked. People just shovel their drives and the roads are cleared pretty quickly, so life moves on.
The girls discovered the magic of snow bibs and heavy duty snow gloves and enjoyed getting out in it. They also learned that there are different types of snow, wet snow and dry snow. They were disappointed when the dry snow didn't make great snowmen, but they were still able to have fun.

Daddy is the braver parent in the snow; Mommy likes to be in charge of dressing them and making their hot chocolate.

Christmas 2014

I just realized I never posted photos on here from Andrew's first birthday!! Ahh - Facebook is so much faster sometimes, but I don't want to forget to blog it. Grandmother and Granddaddy were here for the celebration, so Grandmother made him an adorable little Pooh smash cake.
 Patiently waiting for his cake
 So excited!
 Curious and going right in
 Head first
 He's so pleased with himself.
 Sweet boy

He is one of the "smiliest" babies I know.

Sweet boy - can't believe he is 15 months old already (2/2/15). This boy is busy! He started walking right after Christmas and hasn't stopped since. He loves to climb and tries to go up slides backwards. Come spring, he will be a challenge at the park! His vocabulary includes mostly Da Da, with some Mamas thrown in. He has a lot of teeth - eight at last count! Finally, at one year old, he decided to start sleeping through the night which has made all of us more sane. We love our sweet, busy man.
