I missed updating the blog with 18 month stats, so here is the latest.
At Audrey's doctor visit, she was 23 lbs. and 33 inches tall. She is in the 30th percentile for weight and 90th for height. Tall and thin - enjoy it, girl! Usually, she waits to cry until I put her on the scale and the nurse weighs her, but this time, she started crying as soon as the nurse called her name from the waiting room. She does not like any unfamiliar person being in her space, including her poor sweet doctor.
In terms of what she's up to now, here are the current favorites:
Eating - loves most foods, especially fruits and veggies; not a big fan of meat other than chicken. Still adores bananas, like her daddy.
Talking - she is speaking in two to three word phrases now; some of our favorites include: "Beep, beep, Dadda" (when she wants him to move), "Ahhh Mama" (when I say something funny), Yummy, all done, all gone, Mamma nut/Dadda nut/baby nut" (because we call her a "nut" when she keeps wanting us to sing Baa, Baa, Black Sheep), "Mama/dadda right back"
Letters - She loves letters, especially her magnetic ones on the fridge. Her favorites are A and M. In fact, she takes M off of the fridge and hugs it closely. (I think that's because she says, "mmm" when she holds it and that's also the sound we make when we hug.) The other day, she took the M with her everywhere - in the car, outside, etc.
She can say A, M, B, O and can do the sounds for A, B, D, R, K, M, O, S.
Personality - She likes other people, but can be very shy. She will wave and smile, but also hide behind her mama's legs. Audrey is definitely going through a mommy stage right now, and I have to quickly exit a room if I'm going to leave.
Sleeping - Audrey has officially dropped the morning nap now, but she is definitely ready for the afternoon one by 1:00. She sleeps about 2 hours in the afternoon and from 7:30 PM-7 AM at night.
Teeth -She was slow to get started; only had 4 by the time she turned one (and she got them all in one week), but she's starting to make up for lost time. She has 2 molars and 2 incisors coming through right now, making a total of 10.
Play - Audrey is loving outside time in this spring weather, and one of her favorite activities is putting on her spring hat and playing in a basket of Easter eggs. She loves to color and read books. She's getting pretty good with her blocks and enjoys her kitchen set.
That's all for now. She is our sweet girl!
PS In other news, we find out if we're having a little brother or sister on March 30th!! Audrey says, "boy", but we'll see....:)
