On our final day in Amsterdam, we took a train ride to Harlaam which is a beautiful, smaller town about 30 minutes away. It is also the home of Corrie ten Boom. I read her biography on the flight over, and it was a powerful visit. So hard to believe they were able to hide Jews away in their home and survive all that they did. We also visited St. Bavo church and ate lunch on the square.

| St Bavo church was a Catholic church with elaborate paintings, but when Protestants took it over, they whitewashed all of the walls. |

| It houses the biggest organ in Holland and they record that Mozart and Handel played it. |

| In the evening, David's conference hosted a lovely private reception at the Rijksmuseum. It was amazing to be there with so few people. |
