Disney Days, May 2015

We enjoyed a great trip to Disney World this past weekend with Grandmother and Granddaddy. Mimi and Pops flew in to take care of Andrew, so he had some special attention too. The girls had no idea of what to expect, but they were thrilled when we got there. Character meet and greets were the favorite and rides weren't as popular. Mickey Mouse ice cream was a highlight and they loved the parades. Being up past their bedtime for the night parade absolutely thrilled them. We spent the first two days at the Magic Kingdom and the last day at Hollywood Studios.
Meeting Tinker Bell. She was funny and spirited. They chatted about their talents of cartwheeling and flipping.
Riding the ferry over to the Magic Kingdom
 Night time at Magic Kingdom
 Ready!
Meeting Sophia at Hollywood Studios. The girls were overwhelmed with the size of her head!

 Meeting the main man
Anna at the Frozen Show at HS
Mickey in flowers at the Train station
 Our little clan
Tiana was lovely. They chatted about New Orleans and gumbo.
When we left, Kathryn said, "She had a lovely voice!"
Audrey loved her retractable Sharpie pen for autographs.
Waiting to see Cinderella at the Royal Table Castle meet and greet
Kathryn asked her about her shoes.
 Sweetness
 Ready for lunch
 Snow White made her appearance
The girls were so excited and had on their matching bows.
Audrey asked about her favorite dwarf. She said it would be like mommy picking her favorite child!
Thrilled with wishing star and wand at the table
Kathryn loved the princesses. Even if she was grumpy, hot and tired, she would turn on the charm when they showed up. Sleeping Beauty was very sweet.
 Hugs
Meeting Princess Jasmine (the girls called her Princess Jazz Man.)
 More Tink

Ariel was our first princess on Day 1. The girls quickly got the hang of it!
Audrey commented on how hard it was to get around her tail!
Minnie was sweet and motioned that she liked the girls' outfits which matched hers.
Ready for Its a Small World
 Grandmother and Audrey
 The castle!

Cooling off with ice cream before the afternoon parade on Day 1
 It perked them up!

 The popular ones!

Back at Cinderella's Royal Table in the castle
Audrey loved the winding stairs up the castle
 knight in shining armor
We met some girls waiting to meet the stepsisters. The girls quickly connected that they had matching dresses, but since they were from Brazil, talking was limited. It was sweet to watch them interact. They lined themselves up and gave each other hugs.

The stepsisters were hilarious. Audrey was a bit overwhelmed but Kathryn took it all in.
She told them she would be a chef when she grows up. (I've never heard her say that!) They convinced her to make eggs for them.

Headed home on the plane. First trip for K and second for Audrey (though she was a baby on the first). All went well (minus some tears at take off and landing). K was entertained with the princesses and pretend play. Audrey loved her DVD player and technology.
We had a great trip overall. Many thanks to Grandmother and Granddaddy for joining us! Many memories were made, and we hope to be back again soon (with Andrew next time!)
