Do you know what these artists have in common?

Have you guessed? They have all written or performed songs with the word "Memphis" in the title. In fact, Memphis is the most popular city mentioned in songs, almost 1,000 to date! Why do I know this random fact? Because we are going to make our next abode in the City of the Blues and Ribs this summer.
David is finishing his PhD at Emory in a few short months (thank you, Lord!!) and he has been very busy filling out applications, completing interviews and giving guest lectures since the holidays. It has been stressful at times, especially given the economy and lack of opportunities, so we are very excited that he has found a tenure track position at a seminary teaching church history. We are really hopeful that his new schedule will give us even more family time, as working on a dissertation, working part time and teaching classes (while parenting) has kept him far too busy over the past couple of years. A full time job will actually be a break!
Though we are sad to leave Atlanta and our friends here (and the close proximity to our parents), we know that God is opening doors in this new adventure and we trust that he will continue to lead our path as we move forward in faith. Say a prayer as we list our house (along with all of the lovely items that fill it which belong to a baby and a toddler!) We are hopeful that a buyer will come along quickly and fall in love with this little pocket of the world.
